What I offer
Cheryl Ruyle, Educational Therapist, provides individualized academic interventions to students with a variety of learning disabilities who are currently not performing as well as they should in school. Her philosophy is that each child has the ability to live up to his or her academic potential when given the correct strategy to use and when taught in a manner that suits his or her learning style. She uses multisensory techniques to teach decoding, phonics, spelling, reading comprehension and writing skills.
Cheryl has 9 years of classroom experience teaching students with learning differences. Her teaching experience has provided her with a solid understanding of content standards and curriculum, as well as the ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and other allied professionals.
Cheryl offers one-on-one academic instruction sessions that are tailored to your child's learning style and needs. Lessons are done at the student's pace with strategies that best suit that student's strengths. Her area of focus is students with reading and writing difficulties such as dyslexia.
Cheryl can assess your child's academic skills in the areas of reading, writing and spelling to determine areas of strength and challenge.
